Ethical Statement
Our aim is to widen access to medicine and by doing this we hope to increase the number of successful applications of students from a wide range of backgrounds, thus encouraging a breed of doctors who have a greater understanding of the diverse culture in which we now live. We are not alone in this aim. The GMC, General Medical Council (opens in new window) have stated in their document ‘tomorrows doctors’ that they “envisage a medical workforce that is truly representative of the community it serves”.
It is unfortunate that we must charge for the services we provide in order to cover our expenses. Much of the website is free of charge, however selected areas require membership and for this you must subscribe to the website. We charge for services like personal statement checking and interview practice the fees charged cover the expenses of the experienced doctors involved in the process and also help to fund our charitable aims.
As a team we also offer free presentations to state run schools. During our presentations we will discuss life as a medical student and as a doctor. We explain the medical admissions process in detail covering how to write your UCAS form and interview skills. For more information on this exciting opportunity, contact our Schools Liaison Team.
In line with our prime aim of widening participation if you are personally from a state school, you hope to study medicine, you feel you need more help than your school can provide and you are unable to afford the services that we offer please do get in contact with us. We have an inclusion process. We will ask you to complete a questionnaire and following discussion we will allocate you to free services.
