The interview

The problem with medical interviews is that they vary greatly between medical schools.

I remember an interview at Leicester 7 years ago that terrified me. They asked about how the NHS was funded and managed and how I would manage the NHS.

I also recall a lovely interview at King’s College London where we had a general chat about where my life was going and what I wanted to do.

A friend of mine was interviewed at Birmingham and spent 20 minutes being quizzed on the works of Chopain because she wrote about playing the piano in her personal statement.

So be ready to be quizzed on anything you put in your personal statement.
